Staff Member of Carpathian University Visited the University of Brescia within the NATO SPS URANUS Project

In connection with the implementation of the international NATO Science for Peace and Security programme project G6166 “Ultra-durable and efficient nano-engineered fuel cells” – URANUS, Professor Ivan Yaremiy, representing Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University, paid a working visit to the University of Brescia, Italy.

Professor Ivan Yaremiy stayed at the University of Brescia as a visiting senior researcher. The main purpose of the visit was to plan joint research related to the development of durable and efficient nanotechnology-based solid oxide fuel cells.

During the visit to the SENSOR laboratory at the University of Brescia, a meeting was held with Professor Elisabetta Comini and Professor Dario Zappa. During the meeting, the parties discussed directions for further scientific cooperation between the Ukrainian and Italian partners and agreed on the main tasks of the Ukrainian side within the NATO SPS URANUS project.

Special attention during the stay was paid to training in the use of equipment for evaluating the electrical characteristics of solid oxide fuel cells, including the measurement of current-voltage characteristics, determination of optimal power density, and electrical impedance spectroscopy.

The visit contributed to strengthening scientific cooperation between Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University and the University of Brescia, as well as to deepening international collaboration in the field of developing modern materials and technologies for energy generation devices.
